FRENCHMANS SHAKE EM, our new 2009 stallion by
Royal
Shakem, out of FrenchmansFancyFree x Frenchmans Guy. His first
foals will arrive in 2013. "Shaker" is one of the best minded colts, stallion or not,
that we have ever rode, he has an incredible disposition,
15 hands tall, a super athlete, and very trainable. He begins
his barrel training this summer
with Judy Myllymaki. |

Our ranch, 30 miles south of Chinook, Montana in the
rugged Bear Paw
Mountains, established over a hundred years ago by Winfield Young.
We are the fifth
generation to live and work the land on this historic ranch. It remains
a working cattle operation with modern
day breeding.
We break our own colts,
and ride our own bloodlines, doing all
aspects of our ranch work from the back of our horses. The mares foal out in the
hills and the colts learn to cover the country just as soon as they
can stand.
At Treasure State Quarter Horses, colts by PC Mr Sun Peppy have
proved themselves in competition, and foals by Paddys Shota Merada
are becoming of show age. You can view
GRADUATES of our BREEDING PROGRAM in a large gallery of
barrel and cutting Performers from our breeding program. We are
extremely proud and excited to see them doing so well by our buyers.
Breeding for good, tough horses has always been a big part of horse
operations passed down from Barb Crowley's dad and Una's grandpa, Bill
Young. Raising ranch horses to satisfy our needs at home has
evolved toward our present day program. Our current stallions
and broodmares were selected by proven pedigrees with an emphasis on
performance, speed and natural cow sense without sacrificing
conformation and disposition.

BROODMARE POWER :: An
example of Treasure State's proven performing broodmare quality:
Dashing Ta Fame, an outstanding daughter of the great Dash
Ta Fame. This mare is a futurity and open rodeo money earner. She
was run by Judy Myllymaki until retired as a broodmare and
has produced two futurity, derby and open money earners. She is
now an embryo mare in our program.
We started with the ranch’s base of proven running and cow horse
broodmares, then complemented this herd with what we feel are the
best young fillies and mares out of proven performance bloodlines
of top Quarter Horsse breeders today. This has taken many years but
we feel like we are continually adding some of the finest overall
quality to our broodmare band which has made this time consuming
effort more than worthwhile. Our client base is driven on repeat
buyers which is giving us confidence in crosses that do work! |
Details on our stallions are available on this web site.
