PADDYS SHOTA MERADA
"Paddy" was purchased at the John Scott Dispersion Sale in 2000. We
were instantly attracted to his outstanding conformation and physical
presence, as we were looking for a stallion prospect that had winners
throughout his pedigree, but was also versatile enough to perform in
any aspect of the performance world.
Paddy stands very correct on all four, has good bone and solid feet.
He is very well muscled with a tremendous hip. We’re really pleased
with the way he is developing. Paddy has earned over $7,000 NCHA
Lifetime Earnings, in spite of limited showing. He was the MCHA Open
Derby Champion, SSCHA Winter Series Open Champion, and has won or
paced in nearly every event he has entered.

His foals are just becoming of show age, and we look forward to
seeing them in competition. They are very athletic, with
exceptional dispositions, already proving to be easy to start
and show a lot of interest in cows. Rope, ranch, or reined cow horse
these colts will do it all. Look for colts by "Paddy" and great mares
such as Travalena, Justaswinging Peppy, Shining Spark, and Peppy
Badger Chex in the 13th Annual Weaver Quarter Horse Sale September 20,
2008 in Great Falls Montana. Call or email for a catalog.
Paddys Shota Merada is an own son of Paddys Irish Whiskey (LTE
$12,149. NCHA) - who is a full brother to Grays Starlight and
Gallo
Del Cielo, better known as "Rooster." Paddys Irish Whiskey has sired a
long line of money winners in cutting, including Quixote
Lena Peppy
($54,884; NCHA Amateur Super Stakes Champion), as well as winners in
reining, working cowhorse, and roping. He is quickly becoming one of
the hottest versatile breeding stallions around.
Paddy’s dam, Mollie Merada, has an LTE of
$7650. She was the 1994
Texas Gold Non-Pro Futurity Champion and has her NCHA Certificate of
Ability. Mollie Merada is an own daughter of Freckles Merada (LTE of
$106,684) and is mother to Merada Boonsmal who has NCHA earnings in
excess of $68,000.
